Abstract
Međunarodne pomorske organizacije osnivaju se sa ciljem osnivanja i unapređivanja djelatnosti vezane za pomorstvo, pomorsku plovidbu te iskorištavanje mora i podmorja. Organizacije imaju zadaću da koordiniraju djelatnostima koje su od zajedničkog značaja. Službene organizacije po svom statusu mogu biti i specijalizirane ustanove UN organizacije. Najbolji način poboljšanja sigurnosti na moru je razvoj međunarodnih propisa kojih se pridržavaju sve pomorske zemlje, a od sredine 19. stoljeća nadalje usvojeni su brojni takvi ugovori.
Abstract (english)
International maritime organizations are established with the aim of establishing and improving activities related to maritime affairs, maritime navigation and the exploitation of the sea and submarine. Organizations have the task of coordinating activities that are of common interest. According to their status, official organizations can also be specialized institutions of the UN organization. The best way to improve safety at sea is to develop international regulations that all maritime countries adhere to, and a number of such treaties have been adopted since the mid-19th century.
